Lovely to do a portrait after all those landscapes. One of my (11!) nephews aged 12. Pastels on Pastelmat.

Opening night - one of the best nights in my life. I'll be buzzing for a long time. So much love and hugs came my way. Thank you to all of you who rocked up. And thank you Eloise @tairawhiti_museum for your kind words, and for taking this pic.

Seems all my Christmases have come at once. I was notified today that this painting was selected to be part of the 42nd IAPS (International Association of Pastel Societies) international exhibition. I'm feeling a bit shocked tbh. https://showsubmit.com/gallery/iaps-42nd-open-division-exhibition

Today's the day I took 26 paintings to Tairāwhiti Museum - the result of 2 years' work. It's wonderful to have reached this point. The exhibition opens on Friday and runs for 9 weeks.
